It's a pity

Today opening Etherpad i had a surprise ! Google announced that the etherpad service will be defenetely closed on march 2010 !.
It was one of the programs we learned in Leeds Met-University !
It's a pity i find it very useful.

This is part of the google announce:

We are happy to announce that AppJet Inc. has been acquired by Google. The EtherPad team will continue its work on realtime collaboration by joining the Google Wave team.
For Current Users and Customers:
What will happen to my account? Will I still be able to use EtherPad?

The EtherPad site will stay online through March 2010 with some restrictions.

If you are a user of the Free Edition or Professional Edition, you can continue to use and edit your existing pads until March 31, 2010. No new free public pads may be created.... continued

  1. You are so right!

We were astounded by the news when we received it yesterday. Google the useful application killer!!!!

They want everyone to use their Wave service but it's too complicated. Hey ho - we'll have to wait and see what happens
